This has something to do with thermald a part of Android that keeps your phone from melting in your hand. Supposedly the original kernel dev made a work around for this. However it could also be lack of 2nd init support in my rom. I'll look into that as well

Thanks, it has been bugging me for the longest time. Kernel is working great so far. Camera, messaging, and data are fine working well. Keep up the good work, you are definitely helping the Cricket galaxy s3 stay alive. So far perfect for a daily driver and I'M really considering moving away from stock for one of your ROMs

So if you're having camera issues with any of my kernels built in the last day, you're flashing procedure is flawed. Sorry.

Using Weizenheimer Lite and Lean kernel with no hardware problems.

I flashed this and the TW rom I made and flashed LK in the same go without a reboot and everything worked exactly as intended. This means data, cache, and dalvik wipes aren't being done as they're supposed to be.

First of what rom are you using? I've used my fully stock Odin file, my deodexed rom, and Weizenheimer Lite. All with stock kernels and aftermarket kernels. I've not had a single issue.

When you flash a rom this should always be your method to save problems....

    1. Factory Reset (kills data and cache in 1 go)
    2. Wipe dalvik
    3. Flash rom
    4. Flash kernel if desired
    5. Fix permissions
    6. Reboot system and wait

This will provide the results expected every time

Then do this. It will require another rom reflash. I've been noticing that sometimes we have to format /system

You don't have to wipe cache if you use factory reset..

After wiping dalvik and before flashing the rom, go to mounts and storage and format /system, then flash the rom and kernel

Do not hit anything else or you risk breaking everything

Thanks. I ended up using Imoseyon's version for this, but used a modified version of droidroidz's defconfig.

So I talked to imoseyon and for those of you that noticed like I did, the minimum slider is supposed to jump to 1026 when the processor is under heavy load like it would be when gaming. The max slider however is doing something it shouldn't be by itself and the part of android that keeps the processor from overheating is doing its job.

thermald is a daemon that makes sure the processor doesn't burn up when the processor is in boost mode. Imoseyon built a custom one that is packaged in his kernel, but I missed it. I assumed that it wouldn't be a problem so I ignored it. He did tell me that he would be working on making the kernel override it so that's a plus. I'm going to research it more to see if I can modify the one in our rom and I'll make it part of my revamped rom for us overclockers.

In the meantime I will get the file from his kernel package and put it in my next batch of releases which should be someone tomorrow.
