    [ROM][4.1.2]JZO54K.R530CVVMBC1 deodexed and zipaligned

    I proudly present to you:

    JZO54K.R530CVVMBC1 deodexed and zipaligned!
    (Cricket Galaxy S3 TouchWiz 4.1.2)

    What this is:
This is the stock TouchWiz Jellybean for the Cricket Wireless Samsung Galaxy S3!
It has been deodexed for theming and zipaligned for lowered ram usage. This means that the possibilities are endless!

    What this is not:
This is not a means to stop world famine, nuclear threat, or mortality.

Standard disclaimers apply. CricketUsers.com nor myself are responsible if your phone does anything weird like whistling the mating call of robins, bursts into flames, or starts singing show tunes. In the event that it starts spewing gold however, we want half.

You ultimately are responsible for your phone and if you break it, that's on you.

Deodexing is basically repackaging of these APKs in a certain way, such that they are reassembled intoclasses.dex files. By doing that, all pieces of an application package are put together back in one place, thus eliminating the worry of a modified APK conflicting with some separate odexed parts. In summary, Deodexed ROMs (or APKs) have all their application packages put back together in one place, allowing for easy modification such as theming. Since no pieces of code are coming from any external location, custom ROMs or APKs are always deodexed to ensure integrity.

Summing it up, zipaligning an APK results in all uncompressed data within the package to be aligned on 4-byte boundaries, allowing all portions to be accessed directly with the memory-map. RAM consumption is lowered while execution because the querying code doesn’t have to read through the entire application package.

    What works:
    All hardware
    MMS
    Data
    Most apps (See below)

    What doesn't work:
A few apps like AccuWeather don't like being in the /data/app folder. To fix these apps, just use Titanium Backup to convert them to a system app then reboot. They won't cause problems, but they just hate being in a place for you to uninstall them.

    Notes:

It will take a long time for the system to boot the first time. This is normal. Allow up to 10 minutes for the first boot. Each boot after the first one will be snappy.

I moved over 63 apps from system to data for uninstall. None of which are unsafe to get rid of. If you want just a bone stock TW UI, after install you can boot into your custom recovery of choice and do a factory reset. You can also do this before you reboot after first install and before the first boot. I left the Samsung keyboard installed in /system/app so if you do, it is still safe.

    Install Instructions:

    1. Download the rom and place it in a convenient location on your SD Card.
    2. Reboot your phone into the custom recovery of your choice and wipe data, cache, and dalvik.
    3. Install using the recovery you're already in!
    4. Reboot and enjoy!

Please note that dirty flashing will cause bootloops or a non working phone. You must wipe all 3 before installing or your phone won't work. It's as simple as that.

Thanks go out to dsixda and StenaviN @ XDA Developers for all the hard work they put into the Android Kitchen, plugin, and guides. Also, thanks to sonasam300 here @ CU for finding an excellent reference material for apks safe to move. Without them this wouldn't be possible.

Interested in this one mostly because of better memory management. I have the stock OTA JB already with stock recovery. Can i use the stock recovery or does it have to be CWM or other custom recovery??

Updated. OP has new link. All apps in in "Downloaded" of Application Manager are safe to remove. If you want any of them to stay, you may have to use Titanium Backup to convert them to a system app for them to work properly. OP reflects this info

You only have to do this for apps you see in the Downloaded section, but not in the launcher.
