Ok, thats the one I'm using now... I tried a couple others and they cause serious issues. I find that it deepsleeps very well but I'm getting significant power drain when using the phone.

Have you played with your UV settings? Just step them down slowly until it becomes unstable then go back up to the step that was last stable. Don't set on boot though or you'll end up doing a factory reset. I'm running 1890MHz and still get 24 hours of moderate to heavy use with around 6 hours of screen on time.

I use ktoon with row and it works great. Only issue I currently have is this:

I flashed DSP manager and it works BUT if I'm playing music and I go to my homescreen and open any app, even gmail, the music skips and lags. Any resolution to this?

    Also I did do a cache/dalvik/permission wipe

That's a problem with aosp roms in general. Being that pretty much every 4.2 Android kernel regardless of what Linux version is using open source drivers, it will present itself across the board until they get the settings perfect. Happens on cm10.1 with a vanilla kernel too

Unless you know something about programming Linux drivers into the kernel no sorry. I've submitted logs of it to cm team as I'm sure others have. I can guarantee it will be fixed but when I can't say

What's funny is that rocket player doesn't lag at all. Doesn't skip a beat so to speak. So could it be an app programming issue?

No because it does it in Apollo, Play Music, Power Amp, VLC, and even in Samsung Music Player. That player may have different optimizations and may help avoid that problem but I'd say it's more driver related

In ktweaker there are options to set voltages for each speed step. They allow you to set the lowest stable voltage for each step maximizing battery life. It takes a lot of time, patience, trial and error though so most people don't bother.... Like myself for example. One day I may get around to it when there is a stable cm rom I like

Gotcha, thanks for explaining. So I should go through each step one by one? Any other tricks I can use to lower consumption while screen is on?

Yeah minimum brightness at all times. Believe it on not when you use auto brightness you're not saving any extra power. The "savings" gets spent on those sensors controlling your screen

Haha, well I live in AZ, if I have it on minimum all the time I can't see my phone outside. I will have to see what I can do in Tasker.

Setup status bar brightness adjustment. Just remember to turn it down inside
