    Didn't work. I followed the video to a T and even got the success screen but the root itself failed.

    EDIT: I followed the instructions more carefully. I just had to go into the superuser a bit! It worked! YES!

    Thanks for this. Cricket GS3 was listed as supported device when I did it ...flashed, backed up...1st phone I didn't have to use a PC to tinker with....so far

    I've been trying to go through the steps but always get stuck at daemon not running starting it now on port 5037, daemon started successfully and doesnt go any further.. i made sure i enabled usb debugging and unknown sources is checked??!! someone please help!!

    I'm seeing cwm and cwm touch in rom manager. have we tried touch at all?

    Used ROM manager. Option is there to flash. I believe you must have the I have the Pro version though...

    I'm new to posting on this forum, but not to using you guys' rooting methods (thanks btw). But could someone tell me what nandroid is? I've never used it while rooting my other phones (acend 1, Mercury). I'm a little scared to do this being that I paid a grip for this phone

    Nandroid is a backup made thru CWMR as far as I know. I always make backups thru CWM and ppl always refer to them as that so... No expert or anything.

    CWM installed but skips some options in menu wont let me pick install zip or backup.
