I'm not sure why wifi isn't working for you. I have had zero issue with this rom. How did you apply the update? How was your phone setup (rom, root, and such) before the update?

I had a fresh 4.1.2 just rooted and that's about it.
I downloaded the 4.3 update and flashed and rooted using Mobile ODIN Pro

The only suggestion I have would be to try reflashing using Odin and a pc.

Thanks Sandman. Sonasam, yea, a vanilla deodex for me. Oddly, i like a lean bloatless OS but i'll run a 100 useless apps just trying them out. lol.

Angry Malware/Adware bundled in the "Samsung Galaxy S3 Android 4.3 Update" link

Just a heads up.... one of the links at the top of this post installs Malware/Adware called "Intext Nav-Links". I suspect it's the "Samsung Galaxy S3 Android 4.3 Update" one that requires you to install a "download assistant" in order to get the file.

There is a video showing what this infection looks like (and how to remove it) on Youtube:

How do I remove intext ads from http://intext.nav-links.com - YouTube

For those of you that would prefer printed instructions:

    Remove Intext Nav-Links, removal instructions

Ok, i just let go of SP's old faithful vanilla 4.1.2 and flashed 4.3 with root but have not flashed recovery yet. Can we still use CMW 6.0.4.3 if we say "no" to the "fixes" when backing out? And how do we disable the OTA now (since i want control over that)? Or is it already disabled with KNOX being tripped?

    .......and Merry Christmas!!!!

If you don't say yes when backing out it will revert back to stock recovery. I tried before and sure enough that's what happened. Don't know about disabling ota
    Merry Christmas to you too!

Thanks, i'm use to using CWM so will wait a while to see if there is a work around. Otherwise will go with the open recovery. Guess i'll take a look at your link and see if there is some bloatware that can be removed.

I updated OTA and rooted, everything is great and I like the new features, but I am having one problem. When I call my girlfriend I can not hear her but she could hear me. So of course I blamed it on her phone, she has a droid razr maxx, so she got a new phone today, a galaxy s3 and we are still getting the same problem. So it has to be my phone. It does this while I am on Bluetooth and even not on Bluetooth and it only happens every four or five calls to her, but when she calls me we don't have a problem. I have restarted my phone, I have done *228. I haven't downloaded any new apps that may be causing the problem. It only started after the 4.3 update or maybe from the root. Any ideas?

Just made 7 calls to the same number on my S3 4.3 rooted. The received sound to me was the same each time. Bluetooth off. Didnt try with Bluetooth on. Never have done a *228 since flashing to 4.3. I noticed that my PRL has magically changed from 35xxx (or 45xxx, cant remember)on 4.1.2 to 58065 on 4.3. I have never seen 58065 anywhere.

Thanks for trying. I also noticed my Prl is 58302. I need to correct something. I didnt do the upgrade through ota but through kies, it got hung up on the upgrade and I unplugged my phone from the computer so then I did the emergency recovery upgrade and the upgrade was successful. Maybe I should try the upgrade again with the link provided on this thread and with odin. I can do that right? Eventhough I am rooted and not having to do a factory reset. I really hate doing factory resets and redownloading all my apps and putting them in the right order on my screens.
