Followed the video by Steve on how to root Samsung gal s3 schr530c I must be doing so

Hello Steven: My name is Bruce bower I recently bought a galaxy s3 from cricket wireless and I'm using them as my carrier. I saw your video on rooting a Samsung s3
I down loaded the drivers you suggested, and make sure I only checked the 3 boxes you described. I then followed your video instructions to the tee. It go through 3 steps it gets to Pit mapping .... and Seems to stall I was pretty sure I heard you say it should complete in a couple of minutes not no 20 minutes. I noticed other directions from another user claiming he had to take two other steps in order to be successful. I dont want a $400.00 dam paper weight so i felt it would be best to ask for assistance. If you have time.

When you say stalled did it flat out fail or did it just stop?

Let me mention that, for myself, i could not intall "rooted Jb" over "rooted ICS" which Stephen confirmed it would not do that. So i installed the "full unrooted JB" then rooted it again. When i tried to flash rooted JB with ODIN, it would fail. If i then tired to immediately reflash it, it would sometimes stop at PIT or not get as far as the first time. To solve the problem, i had to turn off ODIN and unplug/replug the phone in order for the flash to get as far as the first time(which failed again).

(Answer to the Question) Did the Phone die or did it just lock up

    Thanks for replying:

I got to the same place 3 times Get Pit Mapping and it seemed to not be responding. I remember Steven saying that the phone should not take to flash. so I let it go for approx. 12 to 15 minutes and I pulled it off the computer and had to remove the batteries in order to get the phone turned on. I Just attempted to run Odin again got same place Pit Mapping then i got the message
    complete write operation failed
OSM All threads completed (success 0 / Failed 1)
I have a question is Odin is supposed to be unlocking my boot drivers so I can edit them.
