    Cricket/aio/at&t s4

Does anybody have an idea if we will still be able to use our current S4's on the new 4G network now available with the merger? Interesting the news articles out today specifies that Yes, we will need to purchase new phones to take advantage of this....

From what I know we will be able to use them for a while. Our phone is capable of connecting to the AT&T LTE because we have the frequencies built in

My work on the CDMA Cricket S3 and S4 are now obsolete. Thanks for all the support when I was actively working on them!

I was wondering if at&t will shutdown the cdma network, then make us get gsm phones, and if so, will we have to trade in our phones or buy a new one?

My prediction is posted elsewhere. Eventually, att will offer some "mandatory" discount deal to trade in your cdma for gsm. They will then use cdma bands for other nefarious purposes. We are ATT borg, you will be assimulated.

How long before we have to make the change, will it be quick or possibly several months from now?

What about the S3? I have a Cricket S3 and I'm not looking to buy a new phone anytime soon.

So it means I will still be stuck under 3G with My Cricket SIII until I'm forced to go to GSM? I thought all Samsung SIII where dual CDMA/GSM

Well if that is the case then Cricket would not F*** me anymore, tired of their lies and BS, I don't care if they're ATT own now. If they continued to push for sales and make empty promises knowing full well that what they were selling was already obsolete, then it's BS. I hope someone sues them for this.

I agree I just spent $1,000 on 2 sgs4's not not being aware that they will be obsolete in a year.

Well I must say if at&t don't roll out a carpet, doesn't have to be red, or offer some type of exchange discount another carrier will.
