I don't disagree with Comcast's right to put on data caps, I disagree with the reason they do it. Those caps are a new device, put into place to hinder online services like Amazon VOD and Netflix that use streaming data to get their products to their customers. They are restricting access to protect their own business interests in PPV content, plain and simple. They already have a near monopoly status, and from further research, offer no real alternative to customers looking for capless data plans. We are moving into an era of Cloud services, and online connectivity. This would be the same as Time Warner Cable restricting access to FOX News' website to protect its' interest in CNN. Dangerous stuff if we allow it to happen, and it will eventually effect us all.
