    Overclockers

By a show of hands, how many of you don't just overclock your phones, but your PC as well?

Post your setup and clock speeds.

    As usual I'll start :P

CPU: AMD Phenom II x6 1090t Black Edition (stock speed 3.2GHz with 3.6GHz Turbo Cores) @ 3.82GHz
    Mobo: Gigabyte GA870A-UD3 rev 2.1
    Ram: Kingston HyperX Blu Series - Red (DDR3 1600MHz @ stock) @ 1696MHz
GPU: Asus Nvidia ENGT240 1GB (stock due to being a cheap card and unable to OC =\ )

Air cooled or I'd shoot for 4.0GHz processor

My work on the CDMA Cricket S3 and S4 are now obsolete. Thanks for all the support when I was actively working on them!

    It so easy :P

90% of it is trial and error. The other 10% is benchmarking for stability and thermal requirements. OCd PCs are ike phones in the aspect that they generate WAY more heat than if it was stock.

For instance, this winter when it started snowing here, I OC'd to use my PC as a space heater :P

@ my 3.8GHz OC, my processor temp can reach 143.6 degrees F or 62 degrees C. Once I liquid cool it, I shouldn't even get above 55C because to be honest even 55 can be bad, but I'm running AMD so it's not as risky to run that hot with good air flow in your case. Intels on the other hand shouldn't go above 50C or they're done like a turkey on thanksgiving.

CPU-Z is another good one for information. I personally use AMD Overdrive to find settings before I apply them in my bios but I also have a custom built PC.

If it's a laptop don't oc. If you don't have adequate cooling don't oc. The worst thing for a computer is more heat and that's precisely what ocing will do is create more heat.

Nice. I'm considering building a new amd rig utilizing the FX series processor which can be pushed to 5GHz but 2k ram is hard to get stable. My current rig can get 4.2 but I'm using stock fans so I won't go above 3.8.... For now
