Do your audio and video drivers work right? My video driver worked except when playing it would play it by frames and there wasn't any audio. I went back to Windows 7 tho.

The only thing that sucks is my laptop has AMD switchable graphics... Well it doesn't want to switch. Uses the Intel on board.

    The audio does work.

EDIT: Trying to install new drivers yet again. Might have found the right ones. You've searched HP's site right?

Yeah i tried everything, installing different drivers for the same model, uninstalling them completely and letting the computer install them by itself but no sound at all and videos would go frame by frame. But honestly I prefer Windows 7, its better performance, Windows 8 seems like more about the looks, well too me. Besides I have mines customized and tweeked.

My sister (who is not computer savvy and knows nothing) warned me about HP. I thought they where nice and bad @$$ good thing I listen to her. I got a Samsung and bought windows 8 for like 25$ and its perfect. Although I wish I had windows 7 again but I bought windows 8 online from Microsoft so now I'm stuck.

Sorry this had nothing to do with this thread.

Well some HP computers are alright but not really the best you know. I guess the reason for my laptop not having sound or a good video driver is because the model for my laptop hasn't had any experience with W8 yet and HP hasn't made them. But I went back to 7 Pro. I feel stupid tho cause I deleted by accident the ISO and Activator for W8 -.-

this might not help at allll, but if I don't have headphones or outside speakers on my computer running win8 sound displays as having no drivers. even with built in speakers. I don't know you seem to have done everything right.

Kind of unrelated, but also make sure when you plug in an HDMI monitor that it does not try to transfer the audio to that or you'll be left scratching your head for a bit.
