When I get to this point, i get to CWM recovery and choose to reboot. I am then presented with two options. Yes, and No. I chose Yes this time. It then asks me if I want to root. I chose Yes. It then reboots my phone. At this point. I power down the phone and press Vol Up and Power until i see my blue text indicating that im booting into recovery. I boot into what looks like stock recovery, I choose update from external card, and choose my .zip for Super SU. During the process I get two red lines of text indicating a signature verification failed message.

    Am I missing something?
Any help here? Not sure why I cannot get this rooted... seems easy enough....

    Thank you for your reply,

I get that I need to install an SU Binary, but I thought thats what the Super SU posted in this thread was. Unfortunately, I am getting a signature error when trying to do this. From Shabby's post (and yours) it appears that Custom Recovery is not being done properly. However, I follow the 13 steps to do recovery, i can boot into CWM, but then....

When I get to this point, i get to CWM recovery and choose to reboot. I am then presented with two options. I have chosen Yes and NO at different times. (what should i be choosing here?) It then asks me if I want to root. I chose Yes. It then reboots my phone. At this point. I power down the phone and press Vol Up and Power until i see my blue text indicating that im booting into recovery. I boot into what looks like stock recovery, I choose update from external card, and choose my .zip for Super SU. That's the stock recovery. If you see Andy the Android that's stock. If you see the homeless penguin it's the OUDHS recovery. Do this.... When you flash it in Odin uncheck auto reboot before you click Start. After it flashes, disconnect the cord and do a battery pull. Wait 3 seconds and put it back in. Then use the Volume Up + Home + Power combo to get into recovery.

See step 13 in the first post.

One last question. After installing Rom Manager, am I ok to flash CWM from there, or is that even needed?

    Thanks

Do I have to do anything with the Source posted or just download all the zip files and root that way?

ShapbbyPenguin, I click on the above links and I get an error message indicating your pages are not longer available. Plus your own website does not list the GS4 for downloading files.

Is there another method to root the SCH-970C?
