It's pretty strait forward when you have heimdall-frontend running plug your phone in in download mode or Odin mode then just go to the hit the detect device then we're it says save as put what ever you want then hit download and it will make a pit file

Yeah but stripping out the BL and flashing the package is what I did for the S4 too and it worked perfectly until I started tinkering with NAE.....

WAIT.... The S3 started to boot after the failed flash. It failed to boot after the recovery did it's thing. Hmmmmmmmmm

and yes. Everything but the BL like I did with the S4. Same processes on the S3 with the proper files for the S3

Uploading now. It won't go to the bootloader at all. itsdeadjim.jpg

There may be a fix for it but I need to research it. I may have to find someone with an S3 that has never taken the 4.3 OTA to do a dump for me

Why don't you down load and extract the 4.1.2 firmware and get everything you need

I think the way it's done requires that it's a dd dump as it has to be an exact replica of the way it's flashed to the emmc

As long as you didn't lock up your bootloader you should be able to restore it

The way I'm looking at is pretty straight forward and essentially forces the phone to instead boot from the SD card and not the internal MMC chip. According to my research the phone attempts to boot from the internal memory first. If it can't, then it attempts to boot from the SD card, but since no one makes their SD card bootable, it won't.

Essentially this makes the SD card a boot disk that the phone can use to start up from. I'm trying to talk to the original devs of this project to either have one made or to make it myself.

If I can get it to work, I will upload the package for a later use by others and I will then do the same for the S4

    Edit:
    The video
