Phone has 4.2.2 MI3, Is Rooted, Want to Upgrade to KitKat -- Unroot or Re-Root?

I rooted my S4 a really long time ago, it even shows my kernel version as 3.4.0-1671566 & now that KitKat is here, I want to upgrade. My baseband version is MI3, but I'm also rooted. I don't think I've tripped the Knox because I never fooled with upgrading after 4.2.2, though I realize I want to do so now.

If I want the latest upgrades, should I:

    a) Unroot the phone and factory reset then upgrade -- and, if so, can you please provide a link to a thread whose method demonstrates clearly how to do this successfully?

    b) Root the phone using the Klingo method then upgrade to KitKat

    c) Root the phone using another method -- and, if so, can you please provide a link to a thread whose method demonstrates clearly how to do this successfully?

Thank you for your help and advice.

If you have any recovery installed just wait for a stock rooted rom.

I personally say if you absolutely want KK and the improvements it brings, grab Kies3 and download the firmware and reroot it using CF Auto Root. Just my 2 cents, but be warned that there is a new bootloader that came with 4.3+ that will show your warranty status as being void so you make the call.
My work on the CDMA Cricket S3 and S4 are now obsolete. Thanks for all the support when I was actively working on them!

Feel free to PM me only after you've posted on the forums.

I'm a patient guy, if the general feeling is to wait for a stock rooted rom, that's what I'll do. I don't want to trip the Knox if I don't have to since I'm paying for the replacement plan and they won't replace it if that's tripped. Thanks for your help.
