Thumbs down How do I move apps to the external SD card? (Admire 2).

I have a 16GB sd card installed and noticed there's no option to move apps to the sd card and the Internal storage is already full (only a few games installed!).

With my huawei mercury all I had to do was click on the app and choose Move to SD card but Jellybean has no such option?

I've tried App2SD & AppMgr 3 from the Play store but they both show an "Unsupported device" error when loading them.

It currently can't be done unless you root the phone. And as of right now, there is no root method.

The support for this phone SCH-R830C is somewhat behind. I remember that there was a looooooooooong time for US Cellular to update my Mezmerize SCH-i500 from Eclair to Gingerbread. That was because Samsung required payment for updates from the carrier.

Link to Samsung Page for the Acclaim 2 (many links are not working yet).

Try using All files to move things to extSdcard.

Some files can be moved to free some space but not apps. This is terrible. Hopefully there will be a update soon to change it.

    ^Yeah tried as well.

The software did note there was an update for the Galaxy 4 that would have to be applied for that to work...

It's something about the SDCard being emulated I believe.

Ya I can't figure it out Ive tried numerous methods and will be selling it on Ebay soon because of it.

I knew there had to be a catch with the $50 price tag but I should make the money back and then some judging from current auctions.

Good news!!! Link2sd is a success! I was able to free up a bunch of space on my internal sd memory. You must first make a second partition on your sd card. I used minitool to create the partition. First partition Fat32 primary (this partition will save music, photos, ect.) Whatever size you make this partition will be your actual sd memory your phone will only show the new partition size in storage settings. Second partition ext2 primary (this partition is where all your app data will be stored). When your use link2sd you won't be able to use the app2sd feature but it will allow you to use the create link feature and move all app data and give you some much needed extra space.
