    Non-rooted SDcard App Storage Hack not working on Samsung Galaxy Admire 2

    For those of you that have no idea what I am talking about (a link);
    Install Apps to SD Card on Your Android Phone Without Rooting it | Plugged In

    I followed the instructions implicitly and a received the "$" bash prompt after, and I also verified that it was indeed set to "2" for the default storage medium. However, no option to move the apps is available under the application manager and no newly installed apps after this modification are being installed to the SDcard rather than the phones internal memory. I also downloaded an aftermarket program to move them (App2SD) after the mod and it too was unable to move the apps to the SDcard. It sure would be nice to be able to utilize my 32G sdcard, as the phones internal memory space is quite limiting. If anyone has any additional thoughts or suggestions on the topic, I would be glad to hear them. Thank you.

    I also ended up having to repeat the process returning it to the default selection of "0" because when any apps would try to update from the Google playstore they would "Fail to install; due to insufficient space" however upon returning the phone to it's original factory setting the problem went away. So all in all this method is a complete failure for this phone.

    Try using androids terminal emulator like "force 2 sd (no root)" uses. Same process but might get diff results.

    Now we have root so you can possibly revisit moving your applications to your SD Card.
