OTA Update for Cricket Wireless Samsung Galaxy Admire 2

This is not a huge update, but it does add a feature, change a roaming icon, and fix a Google Play Store issue.

Check out the video for more details.

The update downloaded this morning but I'm not sure if I can apply it to a rooted phone? Would a factory reset unroot it?

EDIT / Update: I went ahead and tried applying the update while rooted (I didn't do factory reset either) and it worked fine although I haven't setup the new data connection optimizer, It seems to be getting mixed reviews:

Installed updates on rooted phone but it removed root. Tried re-rooting with same cydia impactor and it says "bug error?" Anyone else have same issue? Suggestions?

I can't download the update. Every time I try I get this message: "device has been modified, update unavailable." Is anyone else getting this message on a rooted phone?

I get that message as well. I've tried unmounting sd and rebooting, didnt work. Tried unroot with SuperSu too but still says device is modified.

On my S3 rooted TW vanilla 1.1 rom with CWM, it says modified. Even after i use triangle away to change it, it reverts back to modified after reboot. I think Shabby or someone said it need everything original restored, even stock recovery, for it to stick. Not sure if this applies to the admire 2.

after the update, ODIN shouldn't go away, so you can still install recovery. if you install twrp, it should root for you.
