    Talking Greetings and Salutations!

Hey there, I'm bmayzure - 37, Chicago. I've been on Cricket pretty much since they debuted in Chicago. Before that, i had them about 10 years ago in Nashville (back when the Nokia 3200 series was your only choice).

I currenly have a Sanyo/Kyocera ZIO, but am looking at newer Android models. I'm really frustrated at the measly amount of internal storage on most of the Android phones Cricket offers (coupled with several apps that don't do App2SD)! Seems to me that 1GB (avail to users) should be the standard these days, but with the exception of the Samsung Indulge ($329?!?!), I'm finding most on Cricket are between 125 MB and 175 MB. Ugh.

Anyone have any suggestions for a good replacement from Cricket's lineup? Here's what I'm looking for: Decent speed processor (my ZIO is allegedly 600 MHz, but it's sluggish and not very responsive at times), easily rooted (for using Link2SD - the easiest way to work around the storage limitations), a decent amount of RAM, and a decent screen (the ZIO's touch screen is AWFUL for typing on the onscreen keyboard - not accurate at all).

Ooh, very nice. I just saw that it came out today. I'll have to make my way to a corporate store and have a look. With the exception of the easily rooted requirement, it seems this fits the bill. And I have a feeling it won't be long before it's rooted (possibly later tonight from the sounds of the threads).

Just wanted to welcome you also. I had the opportunity to view a Mercury today and like it.

I'm going to purchase one so I can chime in on the forum, and it's actually going to replace my flashed Evo 3D.

It really shows the quality of the phone when people with the latest contract devices are considering switching to it. I think Woof is considering it too, and I also saw another post with a member with a DROID X considering switching.

It's great Cricket and Huawei were able to come out with this device. I'm waiting to see it go out of stock on the site!

And yes I am still considering switching. My Evo3d is just pissing me off the last few days. Can't find a rom/kernel combo that gets decent battery life.
Problem is putting the Merc on my account is essentially stealing from myself. Although I wouldn't steal from someone else, it feels even worse when you take your own inventory. Perk of owning the store, but man a conscience is a pain.

You can buy it from yourself right? You can always go to another store and buy it from them, LOL.

Why do you think I continue to have no money? I purchase phones and write stuff about them on the forum. Priority one is to sell my 3D, Motorola Triumph (new), Motorola XPRT (practically new), LG Optimus Slider (new), and I'm sure there's more stuff that I'm forgetting.
