    Hello everyone!

Hey I'm new to the whole flashing thing but love the whole idea. Been with Cricket for over 4 yrs and just tired of trying to find places near me to get my phone flashed. I have an LG Optimus S fully flashed with everything working. Problem is I'm wanting to install a custom rom cyanogen mod 7, with gingerbread 2.3.3 and I figured out how to do it but been told it will mess up my cricket settings. Hoping I'm in the right place to learn how to do this myself and keep my phone working like it does now. Thanks.

Thanks it looks better than any other site I have found that is specific to Cricket. I definitely want to donate and get those free esn changes. Payday is this week so what the best way to do it? I got the feeling that once I figure this out I'm going want to root and load custom roms with every new phone I get!

Yeah, after you get started doing it you'll probably want to continue to do it with each and every phone. Cyanogen Mod definitely improved my phone.

As long as the rooting on the Optimus C doesn't wipe the phone back to default (I don't think it does) and you're on the 55 dollar Android plan, ROM changes usually only result in loss of MMS. You'd have to restore those files and/or APNs/MMS.apk.

I'd post in the Optimus S section.

Im not sure if im doing something wrong but on several forums i try to click on the links that have detailed info on how to do something or get certain files and it wont go anywhere. Is my usage limited or am i doing something wrong?
