Hey there everyone, I'm so glad to be here

I wanted to say hello to all the members and the guests that come and go from this GREAT site. I have to tell you that I spend alot time surfing the internet doing research.
Out of all the sites I spent my time on and with this is going to be the BEST! So far everyone has been inviting and polite, for the most part...lol
Anyhow I am a cellular repair tech. and have been for over 6 years. I love bringing phones back from what most consider cellular death. Hardware is more my forte but of course I have to know as much as possible about the software. I am always willing to help out if I can, all you need to do is ask and if I have a productive answer then I'll give it within the proper forum section. Within my local area I provide mobile service on repairs and on flashing phones.
I really look forward to my time and stay here at MycricKetforum.com

First, welcome to the forum! I'm also new here, but like the community so far.

I know what you mean about how good it can feel to bring back a "dead" phone.
Mine had GPS and wifi issues, which I found were the result of the previous owner/store breaking off the springy contacts inside the phone that connect to the antennas, when they repaired the screen, before selling it to me. One was still inside the case, and I soldered that back on, but the other was MIA... so I made one out of wire, and it seems to be working for now... But I'd like to put on the proper part...

Which brings me to some questions... what are those springy things called? And would it be possible to buy one? (just one... I'm a little worried I might need to order a box of 100 or something, might be better off buying a "100% dead/broken phone" and scavenging the part?)
