    all ATT phones are getting 8Mbps where all NON ATT phones are getting 3-4Mbps

    hrmm. so only att phones have the LTE bands? LTE=8mbps and HSPA+ is 4mbps

    hspa+ on att gets over 8mbps
    My iphone 5s from old cricket gets 8mbps no problem on new cricket

    hehe we are cricket. . not at&t. i think there are speed limits placed on the service depending on the area?

    He's saying if you had an HSPA+ capable device on AT&T you can exceed 8Mbps. However on Cricket it can reach 8Mbps.

    Yeah I heard the new cricket has the 4g lte throttled down to 8mbps , I want to see if there is a way around that.

    I read that att throttles down 4g service and the way around it is to change the apns..

    My att note 3 uses att apns and I get 8mbps as well..

    Here's what they are. I put in the AIO ones and I put in the ones that lets att users bypass their throttle, except one setting, MNC att's is 410 ours is 150 and if you try to put 410 it erases the whole apn lol... So...

    I think the device picks up the MCC and MNC from the SIM card. If you type out an APN with ATT's settings it won't completely disappear from what I've experienced. Put an AT&T SIM card in and you'll most likely see it again.
