Considering switching to Cricket - LG L70 or Motorola Moto G

I'm considering switching to Cricket from Virgin (current on the $25 plan), and I've narrowed it down to these 2 phones. While I like the Moto G in most all features over the LG L70, that it doesn't have an SDcard slot seems like it could be an issue. I've also read at one site that the battery isn't replaceable, and THAT would a huge negative for me.

Does anyone have experience with either of these phone and have a recommendation? I could delete the majority of my MP3s which I really never listen to on the phone, so the 8GB on the Moto G would probably be more than enough. But the LG L70 price right now at $49 seems too good to pass up, another reason why I'm leaning to the LG over the Motorola.

And are both phones rootable? That's pretty much a must-have for me.

    Thanks for any advice.

Moto g not perm rootable at this time. Moto g is 3G+ not 4GLTE. My S3 replaceable battery has been recharging fine for over a year now so I doubt unreplacable batteries really matter. Unless youre camping in the woods a lot. Dont know anything about the LG.

Thanks for the info on the Moto G.

I keep phones 3+ years, so it's not that I'm out camping constantly, but if I do need a new battery at some point, I'd rather not be forced into buying a new phone instead of just a $20 battery.

I'll check more into the LG L70 if it's rootable or not. The version that MetroPCS uses has been rooted, the MS323. Cricket's version of the phone is D321 though if I remember.

Great phones, but as far as I can tell, not available through Cricket.

Oh that makes it even more attractive then. I thought you were only limited to the phones they had shown, whether you bought them used or new through them or moved them over from Sprint. Is it correct that only Sprint phones can be used at Cricket like the site said or can any unlocked phone be used then?

In the meantime, I installed CM7 on my Motorola Triumph for now just so I get back my bank app (they just raised the Android requirement to 2.3.3, so CM7 gets me just above that). So I have more time to really look into my options.

Henderson, forget about cdma phones like sprint phones. Only think about gsm phones.
