How to Buy an AT&T phone

    Friends,
I am going to upgrade this dreadful Galaxy Express after the new phones are bugged out next month by our friends. . . the early adopters. (More Power to You Brave People)

I tentatively am considering the HTC ONE M9 Plus and Galaxy Note 4. Truthfully I will probably end up with the S6 because Cricket will cary it.

What's the best way (less costly & Risky) to get another carriers phone that'll work on cricket? I don't trust Ebay and don't want a warrentieless international version.

AT&T phones work fine on Cricket. No unlocking needed. I just put the sim into the wife's AT&T S4, and it fired up on Cricket. As far as your fear of eBay, you can try Swappa, or talk to your friends. I don't know of any warranties for used phones out there. Plus, the cost of warranties outweighs the benefit, as far as I'm concerned.

bought an unlocked att s4 off ebay. all works fine on cricket. as long as the ebay seller has a 95% or better rating and 500 or more sells then risk is probably very low.

I thought that I couldn't buy a phone without activating it. I went into an AT&T store today and was proved wrong, I also called a T-Mobile store and got the same answer. Duh!

AT&T wanted $800+ for their GN4, l hessitated and missed T-Mobile's $651.oo deal last week.

OH! WELL! I'll deal with this crappie Galaxy Express for a few more weeks and see what happens. HTC is supposed to sell the unlocked M9 directly on their website. . . and a rumor has it at $600?

In my dirty little mind selling a phone with these specs for less than they did the last two times may be indicative of making room for pricing an M9 Plus
