    My own Cricket Hell

On Black Friday, I ordered the Nokia Lumia 1320 on sale for $99. Still waiting. I started calling and chatting after a week of no "Notice of Shipment" email. Still no notice. They say that the order got stuck. And that it will take a while to unstick it. And that is as specific as they will get. This is for the wife. Yes, I know, crash course in Windows 8 is in order. Her old provider, Straighttalk has closed her account, but her phone is still in service, count our blessings. So we may be in danger of losing her number. Anyway, I've been contacting them daily to push the process along. Anyone else have to go through this? And, what was your outcome?

Still no shipping notice. I have been promised for three days in a row, a call from a manager before the next afternoon. No calls either. I'm thinking my wife's number is long gone. Should've trusted my gut and paid an extra 50 bucks and bought local from the store.

Ended today. They actually had a real person call me and tell me that there were no phones to send. That's what has been holding up the process for nearly a month. They oversold inventory. They told me to buy a phone locally, and they would give me a couple of months service for free. So it works out about the same, except that both large phones are no longer available at Cricket until after the first of the year. So I got the ZTE Grand X, which is a pretty nifty phone.
