    Unhappy SGH-I337Z BOA1 Kernel Root

I have been searching endlessly for a root method for the sghi337z jan 2015 kernel with no avail. I have been a long time root user so its hard to just switch back to stock. Any help or updates would be helpful!

I've tried kingo root method along with towelroot and framaroot. I haven't tried anything that's been "confirmed" to not work

My only guess is to use a root apk I saw recently called kingroot (not kingoroot) and its kinguser (superuser). Just a guess and I have no idea if it will work .

I can confirm it doesn't work on this kernel. If I find a method I will post it here for everyone else

When I tried the Kingo it told me to leave my email and when they can root this device they would contact me. Did you get that same message?

When I did the v-root "OTA" no luck. It said to download the PC version because it had more devices listed. I tried to D/L the V-root and my PC locked up and said Virus and everything else so that's not going to work either. I'm puzzled to why this device is so difficult to root.

Ok my friend, one more try. Try Towelroot with "codes". Maybe you can get perm or temp root. If you can get temp root then maybe you can use flashfire to get perm root. Good luck!!!

    http://towelroot.com/modstrings.html

Open Towelroot then click three times on “Welcome To Towelroot V3″. A new box below "make it rain" will open. Type one of the following bold codes in the box. Try all three.

    • Code 1: 1337 0 1 0 4 0 (Standard code – most devices)
    • Code 2: 1337 0 1 7380 4 0 (Samsung Galaxy Device)
    • Code 3: 1337 0 1 0 4 1 (Universal code – temporary Root)
