    Towelroot is a no go tried getting perm and temp root with it all I get is phone not supported message

    Kingroot has a successor called pingpong root for s6., ....just looking around the net for new rooters.

    Doesn't work keeps saying to install supersu which the app does for you

    Yeah unfortunately it uses a program called king user and I can't get the supersu binary to update

    If you have some kind of root, try installing a su.zip with flashfire (if flashfire can see kinguser).

    Dang almost. I would get it rooted back to the point were you were able to switch kinguser for su. SU has a setting to try and keep root. Might check that box. Then before reboot, immediately try to use flashfire to install a su.zip. ...just my noob way of hammering SU into the phone. Lol.

    Wonder if the twrp posted here still work with the new kernel because it installs root for you
