    No help from ZTE support

    Had a chat with ZTE support if lollipop would be a future update and got nowhere.

    Looks more like you got an automated computer response with a standard generic answer. To test the theory, ask the exact same question but replace lollipop with toothbrush. Imo, manufacturers dont like updating software because it lets people hold on to their phone longer instead of buying new ones ...which generates money.

    Sadly the above post is correct. Most companies that target the "budget" range never update the OS, though I do remember ZTE making the statement at CES that an update to lollipop was a "possibility".

    At att vp said that the phone may get android 5 but generally att keeps costs down by not having updates
