nope. Make sure APNs are correct. That's it.
If we knew what it was we were doing, it would not be called research, would it?

I would not recommend getting a $45 plan on EVO and altering APNs unless you flashed it using Autostart method. If you used GreenK45, it creates internet APNs for you, therefore, any alteration can cause internet loss.
So, if you are on a $55 plan (which is the best route to go and to play fair with cricket), then here is how you set up apns.
Attached to this post you will find a file, so download it onto your pc. Right click on it and hit edit. Change the string 4022082222@mycricket.com to whatevernumberyouhave@mycricket.com. Click save.
    1) Download APN backup and restore from the market.
    2) Access it, and click on delete apns.
    3) Say yes to warnings.
    4) Connect the phone to your PC and choose Disk Drive mode.
    5) Access your phone's sd card via "My computer"
    6) Right where you see all the folders, right click on an empty space and click on New-folder.
    7) Rename the new folder to "Apnbackuprestore".
    8) Put that downloaded file (attached to this post), onto your newly created folder "Apnbackuprestore".
    9) Unplug the phone from PC.
    10) Go to apn backup and restore, and click on restore. Choose cricket-htcs.xml. Say yes to warnings, and you will see "Success. 1 Apn was restored".
    11) Reboot the phone.

    Should be good to go.

GreenK45 does not touch the database where APN's are stored. (telephony.db) All it does is make sure u2nl is 'installed' and executes device-dependent proxy commands.

You are right. My previous Droid X I tested with had stored APNs in it.

Your version of Clockwork Mod Recovery is too new (you can downgrade... use an older version of Unrevoked). What did you use to root the device? Jiminy is not even needed and is 2.2.1. Just go for Gingerbread and flash. That's the best advice I can give most.
