Just check the sellers feedback and buy from a seller in the US so in case you have to send it back you can do so easily. My lcd screen was broke and i bought a whole phone without the motherboard on ebay and now my phone is like new...just check sellers feedback

If your screen and digitizer are both broken then you will need both. .Does your lcd still power on though?

Had the same problem with my Evo. best thing to do is by the complete used oem case (everything minus circuit board). that way you don't have to risk damaging it when prying out the lcd from the case. just take out six screws and swap the ribbon cables on the board over and done! bought mine off ebay for $59 from phonepartsking out of texas. it was flawless and a 5 minute rebuild hope it helps
