Lightbulb Cricket on an ICS ROM for the EVO4G?

Android 4.0.x ROMS are starting to emerge for this device, though at the moment they are still in beta stages. Still, some (like JTG's) are coming along pretty well.

^ You can download Jared the Great's latest beta from the above site. It's currently at beta version 4.5

Has anybody attempted to use one of these ROMs with Cricket service? My guess is that if we ever get it to work it'll probably come from a trickle-down of an EVO3D ICS+Sense ROM; if that's the case we won't see it until HTC officially updates the EVO3D to ICS or when a leak of their dev ROM gets out.

    Still, it's worth a shot!

I have a Droid Incredible 2, I use on cricket service. The ICS roms are still in beta for my handset as well. All works Great, Talk, Text , 3g, MMS . I had to use APN backup and restore to change that for MMS to work.

Excellent! That is really good to know. I may give it a go on mine to see if it works. I can always roll back with nandroid if I bork it too badly.

Hopefully I'll have some free time this weekend to give it a shot.

Yes, on the EVO the cam works as well, but I don't think it does video yet. I was mainly concerned with internet and MMS, it seems like if anything is going to be a PITA it will be those.

Well I decided to flash JTG Beta 5.0.

Right off the bat most Cricket services worked except for MMS. It's gonna be tricky getting MMS because Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) does not allow modifying of APNs from within the OS. I tried flashing the Cricket MMS/Web zip file from recovery, but so far no good. I'll keep trying things though.

Tried that... couldn't manually specify the APN settings. Am I missing something? Half the app was in Chinese...

Where did you find the 5.0 ICS Beta?

The forums for blazing roms are down right now (as lately they have been) and I don't see anything new on xda...

I've registered twice in the past month and their forums have went down so many times wiping out new accounts every time. This would be my third time registering, I can show the "welcome" emails if anyone thinks I'm exaggerating. This time now they require a full name and date of birth. Then they spam me with 3 garbage advertisement offers asking for my cellphone that I have to click "Pass" before I can finish.

Not a great sign that they can't even maintain their forums and demand such hoops to register. Is the ROM really worth it?
