When Unrevoked makes the changes necessary for you to obtain root, I'd try the mms.apk in the flashing thread. This might be what is keeping the MMS from working. Good luck!

^^ No root, no way to copy files to /system. Perhaps try using another MMS app? GO SMS, ChompSMS, or similar.

You may even need to just have the account refreshed, that fixed my droid1 after days of APN modifying and swearing.

Correct me if I'm wrong here, but, I believe you can hit the "menu" button in the stock messaging app > settings > disable notifications, or something to that effect.

When you have a 3rd party SMS program, you have to disable the notifications on the stock program. Just go into the main screen of the stock program and hit the menu button. The options are in there.

Everyone wants to be like congressman Wiener and send junk pictures. Just do it the old fashion way. Use e-mail lol.

You're suppose to just disregard stock app. It's really the same message and not too. All these third party apps use mms.apk to a certain extent I think.

Do you need the $55 android plan on the stock rom for it to work? I'm in the same boat as you, trying to figure things out the hard way since my EVOs not flashable..

i followed this tutorial to a "t" the only thing different i did was a "*228" after using qpst to put in the prl file . this gave me crickets updated prl then i used apn backup and restore to set my APN's then used the alternative method to make sure all of my settings were correct and then installed "Go SMS" for my app to send and recieve text http://www.cricketusers.com/sprint-h...-internet.html you must also reboot your phone inbetween each step as well
