    Angry GPS and MMS not working =(

    My GPS isn't working on my HTC EVO 4G. It is flashed to Cricket.

    Everything worked fine but now my GPS isn't working at all. When I open Navigation on my phone it is always searching for GPS and never finds it. So I can't ever use it. Even opening Maps the Blue Arrow that is supposed to show where I am isn't even close to being right.

    And another problem that I have is I can't send or receive MMS. I am so confused So I have no idea what to do..

    Please help me!!

    I am almost willing to go to a regular cricket phone.. But I love my HTC EVO.. Please!! Please!! Help me!!

    There is sooooo much info for the evo on this site and it is all free do some searching and you'll find all the info you need. For your GPS try rebooting. I heard there is a solar flare this week that's supposed to make everybody GPS wacky

    Sent from my Galaxy S II running ICS

    what app are you using for gps?"maps" always works great for me

    now for mms...
    1.download apn back up restore from the market
    2.open it
    3.hit backup apns
    4.connect the phone in to the computer
    5.on the phone pick drive
    6.now on you computer...go to "mycomputer"
    5.you should see youre phone as a disk drive
    8.double click it....look for apnbackuprestore folder
    9.in it you should find the apns you backed up
    10.open the saved apns with notepad
    11.delete everything and replace it with this....

    <?xml version='1.0' encoding='UTF-8' standalone='yes' ?>
    <apns count="1">
    <apn name="CDMA-MMS" numeric="46605" mcc="466" mnc="05" apn="mms" user="your10digit#here@mycricket.com" server="NA" p***word="cricket" proxy="wap.mycricket.com" port="8080" mmsproxy="null" mmsport="null" mmsprotocol="null" mmsc="
    http://mms.mycricket.com/mycricket/mms.php

    " type="mms" />
    </apns>

    Just edit the "your10digit#here" part with your phone number and save this.

    ***Disconnect the phone from the computer

    Then open the Android App APN Backup and Restore on your Evo. hit Delete APNs and then hit restore apns

    hit ok and you are done

    MMs Should Be Working for you
    hope i helped

    Flashed HTC EVO

    I'm reading this but need more info. Cause if your using a custom Rom it may not be supported by that Rom.

    Also when tring to use your gps are you inside or out. If possible give it as much of a clear sky as possible to give it the best possible chance. Most custom Rome bared on stock kernals usually have working gps.

    So it might be as simple as changing to a stock based Rom or finding one that supports that feature.
