    A little confused...

I currently am not a cricket customer but I have an evo that I want to flash. I have flashed to boost before but this seems totally different. We just got cricket here in roanoke Virginia and we have no dealers...only best buy and Walmart carry cricket. My question is do I just call customer service and request a number and then flash the phone? I read in another thread were if you call them, tell them you already have a Flashed phone and then get the number....is that how it works? And then you get your esn added? Its a bit confusing so I was just needing some info. Thanks for any help. I looked through the threads but really could find a clear answer.

I'm not sure if the customer service line will take a non-Cricket ESN/MEID, you might have to take it into a physical retail location. Maybe someone else can confirm this, but it's what I've always been told.

You can go to a store and have them put a flash phone on cricket. You say that you just got cricket over there. The only thing I think of that is that the phone will not show in there system so they won't let you put it on. The other thing I think is the people in wal-mart are so dumb that they won't know how to. Best bet is to call customer service and ask them if in your area they can have flashed phone.

If Cricket is new in your area, you cannot use a flashed phone. You're in one of the "nationwide markets".

The best phone you'll be able to get with Cricket in your area would be the Samsung Vitality and it would be $55/month.

Boost probably would be better in your scenario.

    Sorry for the bad news.
