Reset and Change roms without losing flash

Okay as a android user you may need to factory resest your phone for multiple reasons one main reason is to change roms. When using a flashed evo 4g you can safely wipe data without losing flash
A brief description of whats happening when you lose flash is similar to when cache is being rebuilt on startup
What needs to be done is a nandroid
Or rom switch while staying in recovery
The phone will attempt to buil md factory settings if then procedure is executed. ->wipe data->reboot.
To keep flash! ->wipe data->switch rom or nandroid restore-!>reboot

    Alternatively is to use qpst
To get it working install htc diag drivers you
You can use cm7 but it requires a simple adb code i cant think of right now
Open qpst service programming and choose read from phone and click save settings at the top.

you can go to a cricket store and get it done for 15... or you can donate here and they'll do it for you plus in the future you might need another one (meid change) and here theyll do it for free!

i know but for a flashed evo 4g so that it doesnt lose the full flash you still have to wipe data and cashe but you must install rom during the same time right?
