Hopefully I can implement some mechanism to execute the script manually and at set intervals after connection. Let me see what I can work up.

If I were to implement a script execute every x minutes, what would be a good number to use? How often does your connection die out would you say? 15min? Every hour?

Regarding APN's, I have no idea. I do not deal with MMS as it seems there are a ton of mixed results / methods / apks / etc. to 'fix' it. I Just use Email...
I had MMS working both ways on my DROIDX using stock ROM by duplicating the settings from Token419's MMS fix @ xda (APN Production IIRC).
Every 15 minutes would suffice. Even if it dies +or- 1-2 minutes, a script running a while loop or otherwise Q15 should cut this experience down, way down...

hey guys, new to the forum (i registered when i saw this thread!)

im not trying to take over the thread, but i have the Droid A855 flashed to cricket. and ive been trying to get my 3g and mms working for the longest time and ive been having troubles with it. i downloaded this app and when i hit enable i get "error. is the 3g logo visible in the notification bar?"

and the 3g logo isnt there. im rooted, im using cyanogen mod 7.0.3, android version 2.3.3. flashed the PRL and nv items, am i missing something?

im kinda new at the whole flashing process lol

Please read the FAQ. Coverage map shows you should be good to go in most of your area. Check your data settings & PRL...

The 3G logo is an indicator as to whether there is a connection available or not. It needs to be visible (connected) for this to work.
If the logo is not there, you may have to program data settings or have a 'bad flash'.

Try 45513. it was pulled in TX and I am in CA, it works fine for me.

Data settings - NV items(@mycricket.com), MIP settings (user/pass, set SimpleIP only if needed), Um & An in QPST (user/pass).

Yes, you absolutely need to use QPST to finish off data programming, unless you are using CDMA WS 3.x.

but i had download qpst, and switched to the simple IP, and under the PPP config tab i found the Um and An, the username is myphonenumber@mycricket.com (for both Um and An) does the password supposed to be blank?

Im happy you said cricket because thats what i wrote to the phone lol.

    And Mob with simp feedback?

**edit** i got it working. i noticed i wasnt getting a data signal after i changed the Um and An. so then i changed from "simple IP" to Mob + simp IP. rebooted, and now i have a 1x signal.

thanks for the tip about that. i mustve missed it or skipped over it on other tutorials

maybe a different prl will change the 1x to a 3g??

Edit edit*** got my 3g! I dialed *228 and reactivated it. Then literally as soon as I used the app, bam it went from 1x to 3g.

    Couldn't be happier

    1) Took my Verizon HTC Incredible (firmware 2.2), rooted it with "unrevoked3', then flashed Token419's ROM and used QSPT to change the settings as shown in the HTC Incredible forum sticky. I used "simp IP" and used the 35568 PRL. "3G" icon is showing.

    2) Had CRICKET change over my ESN ($15) and they also "*228 programed" it but then "3G" icon was NOT showing.

3)Ran Busybody but it said i already had v1.15.1 installed as it seem to install v1.17.1.

    4) Saw Kipps post. Ran QSPT again, read the phone info again and noticed that all the locations that i previously changed to "@mycricket.com" had changed back to the original "@vzw3g.com" or tethered "@dun.vzw3g.com". Did the *228 change this back?, i dont know. So i changed them all back to "@mycricket.com" and changed to "Mob+simp IP" and changed to the hybrid PRL cricket35313sprint60678 since i travel in AWS/tri-band Texas coastal area. "3G" icon appeared! GreenK45free worked! Bought GreenK45pro, worked!

    5) Phone, txt, MMS, internet works on my $45 plan. ...thanks to everyone and now its time to donate some $$.

And yes, the *228 did change your settings back, it is not recommended on flashed phones. *228 potentially has negative side effects. Manual programming is the best.

Thank you! Every little bit of donation helps us and this forum. You are by far the biggest donator ever on the forum and from all the volunteers here we greatly appreciate it.

    Wanna know how I became a SuperMod?? I got engaged to the creator of the site. (;

Is there a way to get wifi tethering on Cricket without setting proxy info in the computer browser? It would be great if there was a GreenK45 for wifi tethering that allowed all of my programs like email clients to work, not just the browser.
