How did it get that way? Did you install something, change a setting or menu item? Can you boot to recovery? Can you boot to Emergency Software Download? More detail is needed B4 anyone can help. I had my OC stuck on the LG boot screen, I was just messing with it because it was a brick and can't damage it any worse, I pulled the battery, plugged it the computer USB cable, inserted and removed the battery a few times and it booted. Blew me away, I can't say this would work for you but, hey its a brick right now. Oh ,BTW it was ClockWorkMod Recovery that bricked my phone. Post back more info.

I'm in Vegas...battery goes down to 10%...I powered it off..swapped in a fresh battery..powered on and cricket boot screen comes on and stays. I can boot to recovery.....not experienced in trouble shooting cells.
This Evo 3D is completely customized and rooted. Includes this ROM:

[ROM] OLYMPUS Titan HD!! Beats Audio,SONY Bravia Mobile Engine,Dual Core,THE BEST!!! - xda-developers

Usually when the Evo/Evo 3D on newer software reboot they do a "fastboot". This is exactly what it says. Fast. When your battery completely dies it does a real reboot.

How long have you given the device to reboot?

Here is the link to stock roms:
    Shipped ROMs

    Look for shooter.
Download HTC sync and RUU it. As long as it boots into the fastboot, you should be fine.

If we knew what it was we were doing, it would not be called research, would it?

Two things.....1st I found shooter....do I download all of these files?
Secondly, I have downloaded HTC sync and when opened it says there is no phone connected.
I powered on phone in HBOOT.....showing Fastboot, Recovery, Factory Reset, Simlock and Image CRC.......still not detecting fone

No, not all files. Just something that shows the latest. It is basically a stock rom, but will not erase the NAM settings, so your flash should be fine.

Download that RUU and then run it..Leave the phone in Hboot (most likely you will need to put it in fastboot) and RUU will take care of the rest. You do not need to have the Htcsync open.

Thanks Dina.....RUU'd it and it seems to have worked, meaning its not frozen now. But the phone now looks stock...all apps are gone...how can I tell if it is still flashed ...looks like its back to factory.
Unfortunately, in a panic, I had my ascend 2 reactivated pending the restore of my 3D.
