no but you can bounce around on the firmware if your bootloader is unlocked.

Either option is worth a shot; the Moto G is an awesome device!
AHAHAHAHAHAHAH thats funny, tell me how that works out when a "Corporate" rep tries to flash this phone for you. And while you are at it see if they will flash an iPhone CDMA, or a Galaxy Nexus, or a Droid Charge, or a Razr M or a Razr HD I can keep going.... lol @ corporate flashing

Thanks for replying. So I suppose we can gain root privileges? Would that help in anyway to determine the SPC?

SPC is the starting point, next comes the flash, can't flash without SPC

Boost phones are mostly port locked, can't do anything on it,
Bootloader is unlocked but we don't have any other stock or custom rom to flash on it.(cdma)

I know right. comedy ensues. I'm the local guy for galaxy nexus and VIA stuff here and no one else seems to grasp programming them or the setup of your environment ie drivers and phone in proper modes..and not relying on pre-built "solution". seems to be where most "issues" in the forums happen as well. rant. over.

Is there any specific process to enable the DIAG mode? This page (
    xda-developers - View Single Post - [Q] Diag Mode

) has some steps described for another Motorola phone so that the DIAG port becomes enabled.

Would there be a different method to enable the DIAG port? I read a post on another forum about the Motorola Photon which seem to require a set of steps to be followed for the DIAG port to work.

    1) Plug the phone into your computer with USB cable
    2) Turn on USB Debugging
    (Settings>Applications>Development)
    3) Power the phone off
    4) Power the phone back on while holding Volume down + Power
    5) Repeatedly press Volume Down until you see "BP Tools" on top of the screen
    6) Press Volume Up And your phone will boot into Diag Mode
    7) Use QPST or CDMA Workshop to flash your phone

Could you please let me know how you got the SPC from Boost? Did you have to activate the device or did you already have a Boost account?

    ^^^
Above mention BP tools method works on Moto g, another method is via adb, which need root and other stuffs, so use easy BP tool method.

If u have boost account just try to activate it thru online process, and at the last screen you will be provided spc.

Do you mean you can get into DIAG mode by the above BP tools method? Hopefully it would be.

How are you getting the phone to ask for spc? I want to try something. ##3424 does not ask for spc.

So I have my spc all drivers are installed and qpst recognizes the phone but will not do service programming. I'm sure its because I cannot get the phone into diag mode. I already tried bp tools method and no dice. Any other ideas?

##3424 or ##data or ##programing is not working on Verizon Moto g
BP tool method for diagnosis works on Verizon model

As your phone is recognized in qpst, that means its in diagnosis mode only it is not reading / writting
    Do u have boost model?
