    FlashToTalk or Wireless Workshop?

    Pros/cons of each?

I've been doing research on flashing the last couple days and it just seems like I'd be better off getting an all-in-one solution such as these to take care of this for me. I run a Cell Phone Repair shop and we want to offer flashing but doing it manually and with the volume of customers we get, I don't want any hiccups. Well, I want the least amount of hiccups.

    Any help/suggestions/feedback is appreciated.

    Thanks

I have both, I use Wireless Workshop lot more, it is very easy to use and the support is great. The thing I like most is it has the newer phones and the mms app is built in, no need to download it. I have nothing bad to say about flash to talk.

Thank you for the feedback. It seems like WW is a lot less hassle as far as setup goes.

Now, here's my main question - When a customer comes in and they have Cricket and they have service and a phone already...they buy a (for instance) Sprint EVO 4G Bad ESN phone they want to use with their Cricket service they currently have. Is it best for them to have the ESN of that EVO already activated on their account FIRST before they come in? Or can they come in, flash, leave and activate?

From what I've been told (just hearsay) is that if a customer comes in, they can have the phone flashed, then they have to add the ESN to their account and then activate it. But once it's activated, the phone goes back to talk/text only and has to be reflashed. False??

From what I gather, as long as I have the MDN/MIN and flash the phone then they are free to change the ESN at will and be just fine, yeah?

Also, I get the MDN/MIN from their current phone and it is the same when I input it into WW? As long as it's the same account/number they want to use??

Thank you for all the info.

You are right on everything, the only reason to have the esn already done would be to test it before customer leaves. i would work out a deal with a local dealer about doing esn changes for you that way you can do them while the customer there.

I tested WW yesterday on a phone I've got. I got a line of Cricket service with the Ascend 2. I had a bad ESN Sprint LG Optimus.

I flashed the Optimus with the same MIN/MDN/PRL/etc.

I paid for the ESN change here at CU and when I got home, the Optimus was working like normal. Data/text/talk and all. BUT, my MMS is being weird which is a common occurrence from what I gather reading this board.

I'd say my first flash was pretty successful. Now just gotta figure out this MMS business. I can send just fine, no receiving.

    FlashToTalk or Wireless Workshop?

Wireless workshop hands down one of the best and very user friendly.

Thanks for trying our software out as for the mms receiving issue you are having hit us up on live support tomorrow and i will check your acct for you sound like a cricket acct issue i will fix it for you.

And just in case make sure your old phone is powered off so that it is not intercepting the message before your new phone gets it.
