I also wanted to point out what I did to get my mms working on my Droid X2 tonight, which I unfortunately toiled with for quite awhile looking at may posts here and elsewhere before doing some research and trial and error of my own to make it work.

First I did a full APN drop and reprogram with Anycut... I am not using the extra long MMSC text that is given in this thread, though I can't see how it could hurt and will probably try adding it on just to see what happens (if any change) to my current APN settings...

The thing that worked for me, (I know, everyones having slightly different issues) was not mentioned in many other posts around the web but actually is passed over here... and that is

    APN TYPE:

While my instructions for flashing said to leave this blank (Which it was) this one change to 'default, mms' for APN type (without the 'tick' marks) immediately let me start sending AND receiving mms messages. Oh happy day, I now have a fully flashed X2, talk, text, web/data, and mms... (Thanks goes out to all, again, I'm working on backtracking and giving some rep out as I go back through the forum)

Here are my full APN settings as they have them... I realize it won't work for everyone but I truly hope it works for even one frustrated person... Happy Sunday All

    Name: Cricket
    APN: internet
    Proxy: wap.mycricket.com:8080
    Port: 8080
Username: myphonenumber@mycricket.com (Note, phone number is in 9999999999 format)
    Password: cricket
    Server: wap.mycricket.com
    MMSC:
    http://mms.mycricket.com/servlets/mms

(again, I haven't added the extra line onto this yet but mine is working right now like this, maybe try both ways?)
    MMS Proxy: wap.mycricket.com
    MMS Port: 8080
    MCC: 310
    MNC: 004
    Authentication Type: PAP or CHAP
    APN Type: default,mms
    APN Protocol: IPv4

One last tip, remember when working with any code or programming, change one thing at a time, try it, change one thing, try it... that way you know what worked for you and what your settings need to be... (patience young skywalker)

Ok, thats it... Hope it helps someone.

"Liberated Droid X2 Running GB 2.3.4"
OK so I did this on my nexus s 4g and was able to send mms but not receive from iPhone 4 on Verizon. So I took off first proxy/port and wouldn't send. Im using stock SMS app on ice cream sandwich alpha build 26 by AOSP.. I'm gonna play around with this, id love to be able to get mms working on this...that default, mms line really makes a difference.

I'm very new to the cricket/Android world. I had my phone flashed.. everything works but MMS. I did the steps above but I'm still not getting MMS. I have a Nexus S by Sprint so I'm assuming my User Agent would be different.. Problem is, I don't know what it is.. any thoughts?

This fix seems to be hit or miss with me. Mainly with HTC devices. Works on some, but hasn't worked on others. Might have something to do with the version of android on the phone, but I honestly didn't bother looking that far into it. And it shouldn't matter what you put in the user agent field. It's basically just a title from what I understand. Seems to work no matter what you type in there.

Does anybody know if there is a workaround for the pic mail issue with the Nexus S 4g flashed to Cricket from the Sprint network? I tried to use the steps listed in this post, even using the given name for the Nexus S (Crespo4g), and it doesn't seem to work. I hate not having pic mail...! They set me up with Easy Flash Studio in the store but it doesn't seem to work with my phone either!

mraab's universal solution should work. It's $5, but it works so...
