HTC Incredible 4g - flashed with talk and text, no 3g

I was able to change the prl, min and phone number using cdma workshop, roughly, but it works. For the life of me, though, I cannot get the 3g working.

I currently have the phone on the $55 plan, which should make it easier. I've tried replacing the APN, but to no avail, it's locked to verizon. I've also tried HiAPN, (becomes a system app, to override the locked apn) and set the apn to the cricket standards and still, no dice . I've replaced the rom to Team venom's
    viperLTE

    .

Any recommendations, suggestions or head slaps would be appreciated. Thank you all in advance.

With 4.2 jb I had to "open APN" with voice dialer app and re-enter the APN info that was disabled by default. The added APN then became enabled. So, after install, check that APN is enabled or looks correct. This MMS install works on my CM10 4.2.2 dinc.

    Sent from my rotary phone.
