as far as I am aware, that is normal, and nothing to worry about

Thanks for the replies guys. So both of you were able to load prl files successfully with the box greyed out? Any ideas what might be stopping this from working on my Motorola Droid 1?

what exactly do you mean can't load? are you getting some sort of error when you try? or does it seem to go through, but the PRL # never updates under the phone software info?

The latter. Everything seems to go through just fine, but phone info never changes. I also notice no difference in service.

Funky... you've tried different PRL files? At least 4 or 5?
Also, does anything else have that issue in QPST, try to change, reboots, didn't change?

Well, this is embarrassing. QPST seems to be working fine now. I was using an older version and, since it wasn't working, I tried updating to the one in chrisngrod's tutorial. This didn't initially work either, but I guess it was fine after a reboot. Thanks for the help all the same.

The info on my phone is only listing 45722 prl (not hybrid or anything like that), but I'm assuming this is normal as I do seem to have gained a couple bars. Thanks for the file!
