Universal Cricket MMS 4.4 KitKat Solution No Root Required!

    UPDATED 7/15/14

ATTACHED A UNIVERSAL APK FILE "wwjbmsgs.apk" DOWNLOAD IT WITH YOUR PHONE, MAKE SURE TO MAKE IT DEFAULT MESSAGING APP, OPEN IT ENTER YOUR PHONE NUMBER AND CHOOSE PROVIDER AND YOUR DONE..SIMPLE

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Once again I managed to find a solution for sending and receiving MMS on Cricket Wireless devices running Android 4.4 Kitkat
    .

For Android 2.3-4.3 go here: http://www.cricketusers.com/flashing...29-2013-a.html

YOU MUST HAVE TALK, TEXT, & WEB ON YOUR PHONE FOR THIS TO WORK!

Works perfect on my Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note 3:good:

THERE IS 2 DIFFERENT APPS U CAN USE TO MAKE THIS WORK BOTH ON APP STORE:
    TEXTRA OR CHOMP SMS

    Note: Attachment for Textra included

    TEXTRA METHOD:
Once downloaded, run the app and set it as you default messaging app if your phone asks to do so...IMPORTANT!

    1. Open Textra and go to settings and scroll down to MMS Tab and click on MMS Settings

    2. Set Send Size Limit to 300kb, check where it says Activate Mobile Data, and scroll down and check Manually Configure APN and enter these settings:

    MMSC:
    http://mms.mycricket.com/servlets/mms

    MMS Proxy: wap.mycricket.com
    MMS Port: 8080

Now try sending a mms to yourself using Textra & receiving with it as well...

    CHOMP SMS METHOD:
Once downloaded, run the app and set it as you default messaging app if your phone asks to do so...IMPORTANT!

    1. Next step go into settings and click on SMS & MMS Network Settings

    2. Now scroll down to MMS Network Settings tab & click on "APN Settings" and open it and type the settings like this:

    MMSC:
    http://mms.mycricket.com/servlets/mms

    MMS Proxy: wap.mycricket.com
    MMS Port: 8080

    3. After you've entered that go back and go down to where it says "Activate Mobile Data" and check the box, and go down to "Send Size Limit" and make sure its at 300kb

Now try sending a mms to yourself using Chomp SMS & receiving with it as well...

If they fail to send... try sending with your WIfi turned off, double check you APN settings & that its the default messaging app

IF FOR SOME REASON YOUR APN SETTINGS ARE NOT STICKING, ENTER THEM WITH YOUR WIFI DISABLED..AND ALWAYS DISABLE IT WHEN SENDING A MMS
