    Turn down your brightness.
Turn off wifi when you don't need it.
    Same with Bluetooth
    Same with GPS
    DON'T use a task killer.
    Get a car charger.

I am confused by the advice about not using a task killer. A friend advised me to get one and said that it can be helpful for stopping unnecessary tasks and saving battery life. Is this not the case?

Yes a Task Killer Works but It also Stays running and Drains your Battery

Turn off GPS when not using it
    Turn down Brightness
Make ur screen turn off at a min after not using it
Make Facebook and other apps that update only update every Hour
When Charging it Turn it off to get a Full charge

The ways I save on battery life are turn your screen brightness down and make sure apps aren't continuously running

I just got my extended life today. Over 6 hours almost nonstop use and Still showing 50% battery remaining.
This is the best way to increase battery life.

Theres an amazing app called juice defender which lets you squeeze extra hours out of your battery by shutting down/managing your data and networks.

I did a search on Amazon for EL batteries for the Ascend and only found standard batteries. Does anyone know if there is an EL available for the Ascend, and if so where would be the best place to look for it?

We have them in our store, but I doubt they are much better than the OEM.. if at all.

Is it the 1600mAh "extended life"?
    Or is it something bigger?

If its the 1600 I wouldnt imagine it would be much of any improvement over the oem 1100mAh battery

HI Think my oem was 1300mAh and my EL is 3500mAh the thing is huge

Honestly, I never cared to take a look since they cost as much as the regular aftermarket battery. I'll take a look tomorrow.

Ok im cerious because the biggest ive seen is the 1600mAh and that's nothing if its like 2200mAh or more then it would be worth a go imo.

Myself I cant beleave the freedom this EL battery has given me. Im no longer stuck to a wall every couple hours and the phone doesnt get anywhere as hot as it did before. (20 f cooler on average)
