Highly doubtful in my opinion about AT&T. That said, I seriously doubt Cricket or Metro will be independent companies by the end of 2012. Buyers include T-Mobile, A merger of Cricket & Metro, or a foreign company (SK Telecom or a Chinese company) making a run for one or both. If they manage to get approval, I think T-Mobile will be taken over by the same foreign company which would give them enough customers to make a wave in the overall marketplace. Don't forget, there are ALOT of regional/local players across the country that will fit nicely with a combined metro/cricket. One of the Asian companies have a ton of money to burn to make these things happen if they can get approval from the government.
