Droid 2 would be a good 2nd to an Evo. The Motorola droids are a little harder to flash, but it's still very easy if you're capable of following directions and are at least a bit tech savvy. Stay away from the Droid X, those things have more problems than they're worth.

Someone has an EVO 3D for sale for $100 that I could pick up today. Good deal?
And doing an ESN check for cricket would tell me if it can be used, right?

If it is then I'd pick it up today from them, then on Thursday I'd go down to a cricket dealer who would offer me the $55 plan for $45 and sign up. He said I'd have to buy a cricket phone from him first in order to get a phone number, then I could flash the Evo 3D and switch over to that.

Sound good? I'd just like an opinion on the Evo 3D for $100 first.

    Thanks nubcake!
Now I just need to go pick it up. I notice you have the 3D. I'm going to look into either the OLYMPUS Titan rom Chris posted about for 2.3.4, or maybe Viper ROM for ICS. Thoughts?

Ha, my bank is on the way to her work, and the Cricket guy is just down the street from there. May just switch over today.

My Verizon contract expires on the 27th of this month, I could switch over with no fees and end my Verizon contract, correct?

Anyways, the 55 plan is what I want correct? The dealer by my work offered me an employee discount to my store so it would cost me 45 a month.

Anyways, just saw your post in my email while writing this, I'll go for the SoS rom you mentioned.

not sure about the verizon plan...i dont think i ever finished a contract =/ cant keep 1 job for 2 years LMFAO! Go with the 55 plan! The 45 plan will work to but have a few extra steps and most ppl say the data is slower! if u dont wanna have trouble and maybe activating an app everytime u wanna restart ur phone or wanna go on the web use the 55 plan! But i personally LOVE the 45 plan! im guessing the cricket store is flashing ur phone for u? if so after there done, i can double check the flash if want free, heck i dont mind! =p
