I'm trying to get autostart.sh to work by init.d. I took autostart.sh and renamed it to 99cricket then put it in init.d. I also put u2nl in /system/bin and my rom already has sqlite3 in /system/xbin. Did it miss something. Green45K works fine so I don't see why this method doesn't work.

    Sprint 2 Cricket

Hello all. You guys did an awesome job on the tutorials, and it looks like the community is doing an awesome job as well with tweaking and helping other members. Wonderful / Helpful people like you guys, keep the world spinning in the right direction.

Hopefully someone can help me with this quick question. I've followed the tutorial, but I've yet to have this phone transferred over to cricket. 3g and everything is working as should, but when I go to "About Phone", it still shows Sprint as the network. Is that normal? Will that change when I have the ESN changed to cricket? I basically just want to make sure I did everything right, before paying to have it transferred. Other then that, it appears I've done everything else right.

It also appears I'll need to do some more stuff after having it transferred, such as working on getting voice mail notifications and mms to work, but I'll cross that bridge when I get there.

    Thanks in advance.

Thanks Brian. After reading your message, I took my Galaxy S Epic 4G up to cricket and it connected to their network with no problem. Now the long struggle of getting MMS to work. Given all the post and helpful tips here and there on getting it to work, I should be able to figure it out - if not -- I'll be back for sure! lol.

The PRL that I used can be located here " http://www.cricketusers.com/flashing...#axzz1gZG3HJvK " I'm using "45713HybridMyCricketForum DOT prl " but I haven't had much use out of it yet, so I can't really give any feedback yet, but as of now it works. Make sure you go there and read, and choose what you think is best for you.

A step that I over looked the first time flashing while watching the video, was in the PPP Config (7minutes 40seconds of the video). The customer starts to ask a question, and he stops explaining for a brief moment but continues setting up the phone - and I over looked him putting the "cricket" password into the "password box" and checking "PW Req enc" in both the UM and AN tabs. After repeating the flash, and making sure those were entered, I was able to get on Crickets 3G before activating my phone with Cricket. The first time I had done this, I also did not see the 3G icon.

    Hope this helps.

    Update

Still no luck on my end on getting MMS to work. Honestly, I can do without. It would be nice to have, but anything is better then what I was using. I came from using a LG Optimus C / LG-LW960. That thing was a nightmare from the moment I bought it. On the way home from the cricket store it randomly rebooted. Didn't think much of it at the time, as it was my first smart-phone. The next day, it rebooted 10+ times through out the day, and everyday since. The fact this phone is stable, and everything else works is more then enough for me. I haven't tried to tether yet to my ASUS Transformer, but even if that didn't work I'd still be happy.

Although, if anyone does come across a stable fix for the MMS and or voice mail notifications, and would like to share - it would be greatly appreciated.

And again, thank you everyone! - for the help you've given me!
