    Cyanogen mod 9 alpha 1

Installed cyanogen mod 9 on my epic 4g, and data isnt working. The zip i was previously given here http://www.cricketusers.com/sprint-s...7-2-0-rc0.html , does not work. Anybody got an updated zip for ice cream sandwich?

working mms messaging app epic 4g cm7

. Now this works for cm7, i cant test it on cm9 since data doesnt work. But i would assume it would work....hopefully. and i havent tried this on miui either, so if you try it on miui post the results

The data stack completely changed in CM9 for the Epic. Rather than using PPP authentication changes (the patches we use just append additional files to a directory, which then allows the data stack to authenticate/work correctly) that CM7 have, CM9 was totally rewritten to not even need that stuff.

So this is comparing apples to oranges -- totally different. There won't be a new fix anytime soon, but I may see if I can debug and figure something out to make it work. I have a lot of other stuff on my plate at the moment -- so don't expect it anytime soon.

RC = Release Candidate, not Release Client. ;-)

What we've discovered is that, essentially, the network *does* work, but the issue lies with the APN's, it looks like. Essentially, it can build the connection, but once it's physically connected, it can't communicate in the same language -- that's my understanding of it at the moment.
