    update to gingerbread

    I just got notification on my phone that Gingerbread is ready to download.......if I agree will it undo my flash and root??

    No -- well actually it won't even install. Chances are it will download and the install will fail. The only way I've ever been able to OTA update was to reflash to stock then do the OTA update. Stock Gingerbread roms have been out for quite some time though, so you might be able to find one to flash on your phone. Just some food for thought

    Hmmm let me see, can you go into your settings > about phone > and tell me your baseband version. Depending on your current modem (ie. EH17, EI22, etc) you should flash a rom that is current (and thus already has gingerbread or ICS. There are stock Gingy roms out there (XDA for example) with new leaked ICS roms slowly trickling out as well
