Droid 2 Global w/ Cyanogenmod, no PC mode?

I'm trying to flash my Droid 2 Global w/ Cyanogenmod to Cricket without paying some other guy $60+ to do it and having to wait 2-3 days.

One of the steps in the flashing process says that you have to have your phone in PC mode.
For some reason I'm not finding it in Cyanogenmod 7.1.
Am I just not seeing it, or is it actually not there?

If so, do you guys recommend another custom ROM that's just as cool as Cyanogenmod?

Well im currently running CM9 and most times when I plug the USB adapter in it doesnt detect it and doesnt give me the option to go pc mode or w/e.. I find that if you plug it in then take it out real quick and plug it in right away it usually displays but like I said, Im on cm9 and Im not sure if there is a difference.

You have to flash it in Stock rom, after you get everything working then you install a custom rom.

    Try other way:
Turn on your phone with T pressed on hardware keyboard
    Worked for droid 1
