    Use those settings with Go SMS Pro from the market.

    I used 1 APN found in post #7 by stubb1986
    (http://www.cricketusers.com/flashing...id-phones.html)

    Instructions:
    • I used ApnB&R to restore the APN found here (
      1APN.xml

      )
    • Remember to replace the X's with your 10-digit number
    • Now use APN Manager to select the APN (Verizon Internet)
    • Then I copied the Mms.apk that I decompiled and modified to /system/app. (
      Mms.apk

      )
    • changed permission to rw-r--r--
    Now reboot your phone.

    You should have working MMS. Make sure you have working 3G before hand (greenk45 Pro)

    Please give me some feedback whether it works or not. This has been tested on AOSP and GB (.602) ROM's.

    Thanks
    When you copy the mms apk, do you delete the original, or just copy to system/app?

    I rename it just in case you need it again. Example: Mms.apk.bak

    Bigshot - just wanted to say thanks. Your mms.apk worked for me, Droid X on Miui 1.10.7. I wonder if the reason this didn't work for Woof is due to not changing the mms settings in ##program prior to flashion to Miui.

    I SBF'd to .602, then rooted, then did the cricket flash including apn and changing mms settings in ##program (which of course you can't do on Miui). Once that was setup I flashed to Miui and everything was fine as I expected...except MMS. Was up until 3am last night trying to figure it out and came to the conclusion that I needed a different mms.apk. Hunted around, tried a few with no success and then I found your mms.apk. Copied it over, rebooted and now MMS is good!

    Awesome! Glad to hear it works! Ive been messing with MMS for a very long time. I believe this combination of Apn and Mms.apk is the best because it works on every ROM I have used. Thanks for trying it out and confirming this does work for people other then me..LOL

    I fudged around with this and finally got it working on a Droid X running Verizon OTA Gingerbread. This is my wife's phone, and I had Cricket flash it originally last month before I decided to take the plunge and learn about android hacking/flashing. When Cricket flashed it everything worked but sending picture messaging. The phone could receive them, but sending always failed. Regular text was fine for both sending and receiving.

    Today I tried a variety of things, but here is what finally enabled sending of picture messages.

    1) APN Backup and Restore - backed up all APNs. Phone had 48, just about one for every carrier (except Cricket)
    2) APN Backup and Restore - deleted all APNs.
    3) APN Manager - manually created a new Cricket APN with all the settings from the XML file the original poster provided.
    4) REBOOT
    5) Tested and worked

    I did not use the MMS.APK because I could not install it. Root Explorer gives the message "Application not installed". Tried to use ADB to install it and got a bad signature error. Since I wasn't able to do that part, anyone still on a stock Verizon OTA updated Gingerbread probably does not need the MMS.APK, just to delete the previous APNs and create a new one.

    Also work noting, the MMSC that worked was the one from the original poster's APN file.

    http://mms.mycricket.com/servlet/mms

    (did not work)

    http://mms.mycricket.com/servlet/mms...n=XXX_XXX_XXXX

    (worked)

    The reboot above was required for me by the way. When I used APN Backup & Recovery to delete all the APNs, the texting broke and gave an MMS APN error even after adding the new APN. It was not until rebooting (after adding the new APN) that the new APN was recognized and texting worked again.

    This phone is on the $55 plan.

    Many thanks to the original poster for the APN info.

    I was able to get MMS working on Galnet MIUI build just now. I am able to use the stock Mms.apk (modified by me) working on the ICS framework. The original instructions will also work on DX Galnet MIUI Rom

    Samsung Nexus S 4G

    Would anyone know the correct APN settings for the Samsung Nexus S 4g? I would love to get my MMS up and running again. Just updated to stock ICS on a rooted phone. Don't like GoSMS at all, but have the beta version of Handcent 4.0. It worked for a very brief second and then nothing. It is suppose to have all of the ICS support but it still has a few kinks to be worked out. Thanks for any help provided...

    you need a third party MMS like go sms pro or flash an AOSP MMS of the same android build thats the only way on MIUI trust me unless you know how to write code

    works for me

    ---------- Post added at 01:04 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:58 PM ----------

    Actually I should point out that if you change the build.prop entries as follows:
    Change from
    ro.cdma.home.operator.numeric= 300004
    ro.cdma.home.operator.alpha= Verizon

    Change to
    ro.cdma.home.operator.numeric= 300016
    ro.cdma.home.operator.alpha= Cricket

    These APN's can be edited also so that you no longer have to see Verizon's network

    ---------- Post added at 01:07 PM ---------- Previous post was at 01:04 PM ----------

    BTW I have a Droid X and a Droid X2 that this solution worked for me on several different ROM's/Android builds and so on. This is the definitive answer for fixing the non working MMS
