Lightbulb Linking your phone to Google Voice

I did not see this in a quick search and felt this was a great thing to add to any android just thought I would drop a note about it.

You can link your phone to your Google voice account. This gives you some features that you may not be aware of. One of the best ones is a text message of the VM left. this is invaluable when you are working and can not answer the phone. I have used this for about 6 months and really helps me in filtering who I need to call back.

You just login to your Google voice account using the gmail address you have. (or create an account. Under settings, add your phone number from cricket. It will direct you to dial a special number based on your phone number and then once linked. check to receive text voice mails.

Let me know what you think. NOTE: you will have to record your greeting as the vm will announce Google voice.

I have been using g voice for years. I honestly don't even know my actual cricket phone number since the only number I give out is my gvoice. Visual voicemail is a great feature, as is call screening. Being able to set "do not disturb" times is also an excellent feature that allows me to spend quality time with my family without the phone ringing.

One of the best things with ICS is the integration of the voicemail in the call log. Pretty much like native visual voicemail.
